Over the weekend of July 23-25, 2021, we took part in the Edmonton Short Film Festival 48 Hour Mobile Challenge. We only had 48 hours to shoot, edit and submit a short film. Not only that, we had to shoot the entire thing on our phones. This is the product of our efforts. The Real Cops.

In addition to the time and technical constraints of the challenge, we also needed to include three secret elements in our film:

  1. Someone touching an Alberta Wildrose.
  2. Someone saying “Oil Country”.
  3. An Alberta park sign.

We only learned of these secret elements at 6:00 PM on Friday July 23 as the competition officially began. We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.

What do you think?
