Rachel Ironmonger

Rachel’s mission is simple – find people, and share stories with them. Her goal is to connect with others through the joy of storytelling and celebrate the contradictory nature of humanity.

After years of working for other people, Rachel finally decided to pursue her dream of becoming a performer. She completed the Theatre Arts program at MacEwan University and has been acting, singing and dancing ever since!

Why did you decide to do improv?
I decided to do improv after I finished theatre school. I had always enjoyed watching it and thought it looked like so much fun. I saw a call to join an improv group and decided to just go for it!

What is your favourite piece of media (movie, video game, album etc.)?
That is an almost impossible question. My favourites come and go like the wind. I can say that a film that changed my life was West Side Story. A book I read over and over is A Tree Grows In Brooklyn.

What is your favourite thing to eat?
I love food. I particularly love pasta, pizza, cupcakes and mangoes. And cheesecake. The one my mum makes.

What was the last song you listened to?
Night And Day – Ella Fitzgerald

Rock, paper, or scissors?
Scissors. Obviously.

What inspires you?
I am inspired by other people. Hearing what others have to say and watching what others are capable of pushes me to do more and be more.

How would you describe your ideal day?
My ideal day is a day with nothing on the agenda. A day where I am free to read and bake and nap and walk. Beholden to nothing and no one. If it was a bit of a cloudy day it would be even better!
