Amanda LeBlanc

To find what’s funny and relatable in everything life has to offer… and to do it through improv!

As a former award-winning academic, Amanda knows how to laugh at herself. She also knows that bingeing on cookie dough in a haze of self-reproach is A-okay. She’s been a radio copywriter, commercial announcer, and jingle singer. Currently, when Amanda is not doing improv or writing scripts, she works as a professional editor.

Why did you decide to do improv?
I was hypnotized. In fact, I still think I’m a chicken, but at least I’m a chicken who thinks she can improvise.

What is your favourite piece of media (movie, video game, album etc.)?
The Golden Girls.

What is your favourite thing to eat?
My words.

What was the last song you listened to?
Closer – Tegan & Sara

Rock, paper, or scissors?
If I have to choose, paper.

What inspires you?
Silliness, non-life-threatening physical mishaps, and animals.

How would you describe your ideal day?
Window shopping, a tasty treat, a visit to the museum, followed by snuggles at the cat shelter and an evening of furniture DIYing while watching Netflix. (I like to keep busy.)
